Hearthstone: Frostwyrm Lair

Hello everybody, Geek Generation here, reporting for the Curse of Naxxramas finale, Frostwyrm Lair.

Sapphiron’s hero power is to destroy all enemy minions that aren’t frozen at no mana cost. I thought the ability to be quite uber and changed my priest deck to contain only Charge minions and minions with Deathrattle effects that produce another minion.

Turns out that normal mode Sapphiron isn’t that tough a fight as you begin the game with Frozen Champion. Frozen Champion is permanently frozen which gives it immunity to Sapphiron’s Frost Breath. Frozen Champion also protects adjacent minions from Frost Breath, so one has to be mindful and not let Frozen Champion die. Though i’m not too sure if it can die in normal mode. The only damage i saw it take was from Cone of Cold.

I don’t know what happens if you try to Silence Frozen Champion. Don’t do it.

Kel’Thuzad’s hero power is to deal 2 damage to enemy heroes and freeze it at no mana costs. So now i know.. the heroes and heroines are neither “he” nor “she”, but “it”…

Kel’Thuzad begins the game with 10 armor; Frost Armor maybe. I’m not too sure what the event trigger was, but sometime into the game, Kel;Thuzad morphs and gets 2 Guardian of Icecrown and the hero power changes to takes control of a random enemy minion until end of turn.

I checked the wiki, the trigger for the morph is when Kel’Thuzad loses all its armor.

At first, i wanted to play big minion Druid against Kel’Thuzzad, but ended up accidentally clicking Priest instead. Which i guess was a good thing since i managed to get a number of Twisting Nether via Mind Vision and Thoughtsteal.

I’ll be back with the reports on heroic mode after i’ve tried it. Geek Generation out.
