Hearthstone: 101 games of Hyenas and Hounds

Hello everybody, Geek Generation back here with Hyenas and Hounds win rate based on 101 games.

Here’s the deck list:

Hyenas and Hounds

1 x Hunter’s Mark
1 x Glaivezooka
2 x Quick Shot
2 x Eaglehorn Bow
2 x Animal Companion
2 x Kill Command
2 x Unleash the Hounds

2 x Webspinner
2 x Annoy-o-Tron
2 x Haunted Creeper
1 x Ironbeak Owl
2 x Knife Juggler
2 x Scavenging Hyena
2 x Houndmaster
2 x Piloted Shredder
1 x Loatheb
1 x Savannah Highmane
1 x Dr. Boom

The concept of Hyenas and Hounds is to let the animals run free without traps : D Well.. i’m not using traps because at a certain level of play, Hunter traps are easily played around by the opponent. Not playing traps, also meant not playing Mad Scientists, which frees up 4 to 5 slots in most Hunter decks for deck variation.

During play, i found that every time i have Dr. Boom in hand, i would very much rather it was Savannah Highmane instead. If i had the second Savannah Highmane, i would definitely exchange Dr. Boom for it.

What else would i change if i were to play the deck again? Probably exchange Houndmaster for 1 more Glaivezooka. Glaivezooka makes Annoy-o-Tron and Haunted Creeper starts really good. Which is basically the starts i’ll mulligan for most of the time.

Job Wins Losses Total
Warlock 13 (65%) 7 20
Hunter 8 (42%) 11 19
Mage 9 (47%) 10 19
Warrior 4 5 9
Paladin 4 5 9
Priest 3 6 9
Druid 3 4 7
Rogue 3 3 6
Shaman 2 1 3
Total 49 (48%) 52 101

I started at rank 15, went up to rank 12 and dropped and stayed at rank 14 twice. At the end of 101 games, i made it to rank 12. So compared to that Zoolock deck, zoolock was much better because that deck got 49/101 and ended at rank 9, while this ended at rank 12 with the same number of wins.

Regarding that 65% win rate against Warlock, maybe this deck does better against Warlocks in general, maybe more games need to be played to normalize the score. In any case, most of the wins against Handlock are due to out of control Hyenas. Similarly, the wins against non-Handlocks were usually due to Knife Juggler or Hyenas combo-ing with Unleash the Hounds.

Ok, so much for now, Geek Generation out.
